Voice Actress Aki Toyosaki Limits Activities After Death of Her Husband
Toyosaki will not perform with Sphere on August 30
On Friday, it was reported by Agency Music Ray'n Inc. that voice actress Aki Toyosaki has decided to reduce her entertainment workload due to the recent passing of her husband.
In July, Toyosaki's spouse experienced a subarachnoid hemorrhage and passed away in the hospital. Following discussions with Toyosaki, it was decided to restrict certain aspects of her work by the agency and herself.
It has been announced that Toyosaki won't participate in the "Animelo Summer Live 2025 'ThanXX!'" event on August 30 as part of the group Sphere. Furthermore, her attendance at the Kyoto Animation fan appreciation event on October 26 is uncertain.
The agency has obtained backing from specialized organizations for Toyosaki to resume her previous activities in the future.
Toyosaki announced her marriage to someone who was not a celebrity or voice actor in October 2017.
In 2006, Toyosaki began her career as a voice actress. She has played several notable roles including Momo Belia Deviluke in To Love Ru: Darkness, Yui Hirasawa in K-ON!, Akane Minagawa in Scum's Wish, Yunyun in KonoSuba - God's blessing on this wonderful world!!, Chitose Ikeda in Yuruyuri, Aoi Inuyama in Laid-Back Camp, Izana Shinatos in Knights of Sidonia, Liselotte in Valvrave the Liberator, Caroline in PERSONA 5 the Animation, Kofuku in Noragami, and Kazari Uiharu in A Certain Scientific Railgun.
Toyosaki has several roles lined up for this season as well as future ones. She will voice Niikura in CITY The Animation, Homura Momiji in Dr. Stone: Science Future, Xiao Yueqing in To Be Hero X, and Alyssa Malcius in The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King.
