'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess' Anime's 2nd Season Highlights Sakura in Teaser Trailer

2nd season begins in January

The streaming of the second season of the TV anime adaptation of "Tis Time for "Torture," Princess" (Hime-sama, "Gōmon" no Jikan Desu) manga started on Tuesday with a teaser trailer that introduced the new character Sakura Heartrock.

In January 2026, the second season of the series will be released simultaneously on three Japanese channels - Tokyo MX, BS11, and KTV. Prior to its broadcast, it will be available for streaming on ABEMA. Crunchyroll has secured the rights to stream the new season in various regions including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, Indian subcontinent, and Southeast Asia.

Mutsumi Tamura joins the cast as Sakura Heartrock.

In January 2024, the anime series began airing on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels. It was also available for streaming on the ABEMA service. Crunchyroll is currently streaming this series. There were a total of 12 episodes in the first season.

Yōko Kanamori ( The Ancient Magus' Bride , Attack on Titan episode director) directed the anime at PINE JAM , and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu ( That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime , Dropkick on My Devil! , In the Land of Leadale ) was in charge of the series scripts. Toshiya Kōno ( Schwarzes Marken sub-character designs) and Satoshi Furuhashi ( Comet Lucifer prop design assistance) designed the characters, and Masaru Yokoyama ( Queen's Blade: The Exiled Virgin , Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans ) composed the music. The band shallm performed the opening theme song "Massakasa Magic!." The group LEEVELLES performed the ending theme song "Ashita was Ashita no Kaze ga Fuku."

Publisher Shueisha describes that the manga's story is about "a princess held captive, subjected to merciless tortures by the Hellhorde!"

Haruhara ( Senyū. ) launched ( link ) In April 2019, Shueisha released their manga series on their Shonen Jump+ service available only in Japan. Then, their MANGA Plus service started offering English translations of the same series in October of that same year. Due to health concerns, the series went on hiatus from December until December 31st when it resumed. On Tuesday, it ended its run. On May 2nd, the 17th volume of the series was compiled and shipped for book sales.
