During the Gamescom Opening Night Live event held on Tuesday, Capcom unveiled a new trailer for Resident Evil requiem (Biohazard requiem) game. This trailer showcases the backstory of the game's protagonist, Grace Ashcroft.
The game will launch on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam .
CAPCOM describes the game:

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth title in the mainline Resident Evil series.
Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core.
In 2026, a new chapter in survival horror will be released. This game will feature cutting-edge technology and experienced developers who have crafted a captivating narrative with complex characters and highly engaging gameplay that will transport players into a more immersive experience than ever before.
Last June, it was revealed that the game represented a change in direction for the franchise.
In May 2021, Resident Evil Village was released on various platforms such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (Steam and Stadia). It is the eighth installment of the franchise.
