Harutya, Nao Tōyama Perform Theme Songs for Mechanical Marie Anime
Series debuts in October
On Thursday, the official site for the TV anime adaptation of Aki Akimoto's manga series "Mechanical Marie" (Kikaijikake no Marie) disclosed the artists who will perform the show's theme songs. Harutya will sing the opening theme song titled "Honto to Uso" (Truth and Lies), while Nao Tōyama will perform the ending theme song "Cross Heart ~Itsuwari no Nai Kimochi" (Feelings With No Lies).
The anime is set to debut in October and will be broadcasted on three channels - Tokyo MX, YTV, and BS Fuji. Crunchyroll has secured rights for global streaming of the anime, except for Asia. However, it includes India and other regions within the Indian Subcontinent.

Junji Nishimura ( Bakuon!! , 1989 Ranma ½ , The Fire Hunter ) is directing the anime at Zero-G and Lieber. Mariko Kunisawa ( Berserk of Gluttony , Tohai: Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku ) is in charge of the series scripts, Yōko Kikuchi ( The Demon Prince of Momochi House , Carole & Tuesday 2nd key animator) is designing the characters, and Yasuharu Takanashi ( Fairy Tail ) and Johannes Nilsson ( Gushing Over Magical Girls ) are composing the music.

In March 2020, Akimoto introduced the manga for the first time in LaLa magazine from Hakusensha. After that, it started being serialized regularly from June 2020 until June 2023. Six volumes of this manga were published by Hakusensha. Yen Press has acquired the rights for this manga and will release its English version on August 26th.
On April 24th, LaLa published a new manga series called "Kikaijikake no Marie + (Mechanical Marie +)" which was created by Akimoto.
