On October 12th through October 14th, GKIDS will showcase the animated movie adaptation of Uoto's popular manga series "100 Meters" in Japanese with English subtitles. Additionally, there will be an English dub available. An English-subtitled trailer has already been released by the company. Furthermore, there will be an opening screening in Los Angeles on October 10th.

In the movie "The Running Club," Tori Matsuzaka portrays the talented athlete Togashi, whereas Shōta Sometani embodies Komiya, a dedicated individual whose passion for the 100-meter sprint was sparked by his encounter with Togashi.

At Rock 'n' Roll Mountain, Kenji Iwaisawa will direct the film with production support from Pony Canyon, TBS TV, and ASMIK Ace. Yasuyuki Mutō wrote the script for Tokyo Revengers. Keisuke Kojima will be in charge of character design as well as serving as chief animation director, while Keikankun Yamaguchi will be the art director for the film. Producers for this project include Yūsuke Terada, Yūki Katayama, and Akane Taketsugu. Hiroaki Tsutsumi will compose the music for this film at Rock 'n' Roll Mountain.
The band Official HiGE DANdism performs the film's theme song "Rashisa."
Last June, during the Annecy International Film Festival, a sneak peek of the movie that was shown in the Work in Progress section was presented. The festival provided a description of the plot.
Togashi is born to run. As a kid, he is naturally gifted and wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. In teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win no matter what. Years pass by, Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track and reveal their true selves.
In November 2018, Kodansha released Uoto 's first manga series, titled "Hyakuemu," through their Magazine Pocket app. This was followed by the publication of the third compiled book volume in August 2019.
