On Tuesday, during the 10th anniversary celebration of Kojima Productions, they released a teaser trailer for their upcoming adult animation feature film project called DEATH STRANDING MOSQUITO. This project is set in the world of Hideo Kojima 's Death Stranding game. Hiroshi Miyamoto is directing this project at ABC Animation Studio.

Kojima Productions and Line Mileage have revealed that Aaron Guzikowski will write the script for their upcoming animation project. This project will feature an original storyline.
In an interview with Vogue Japan in May, Kojima revealed that there is now an animation project for Death Stranding underway.
At Hammerstone Studios, a movie version of the popular game "Barbarian" and "Bill and Ted Face the Music" is being made. Michael Sarnoski, who directed "Pig" and "A Quiet Place: Day One," will write and direct this new project. Square Peg production company, founded by Lars Knudsen and Ari Aster, will produce it as well.
In November 2019, Death Stranding was released on PlayStation 4. It was later launched on PC through Steam in July 2020 after being delayed from June 2020 due to COVID-19. The PlayStation 5 version of the game, known as Death Stranding: Director's Cut, was released in September 2021. Additionally, Death Stranding: Director's Cut was made available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in March 2022.
The sequel of Death Stranding: On the Beach was released on June 26th on PlayStation 5. It features Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Troy Baker, George Miller, Fatih Akin, Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, Nicolas Winding Refn, Luca Marinelli, and Alissa Jung in its cast.
In 2021, Kojima Productions created a new branch in Los Angeles that focuses on music, TV shows, and movies.
