Games will release for PS5, PS4, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam worldwide on February 12
On Wednesday, during their RGG Summit live stream, Sega revealed that their Ryu ga Gotoku Studio is working on two new games. Yakuza Kiwami 3 is one of them, along with a spinoff game called Yakuza 3: Dark Ties . Both games are based on Yakuza 3 and will feature updated graphics, new cast members, story scenes, combat system, and mini-games. Yakuza Kiwami 3 will also have some changes in combat system and mini-games. Yakuza 3: Dark Ties will focus on Yoshitaka Mine, the game's antagonist. Both games will launch as one release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam worldwide on February 12th.

In 2009, Yakuza 3 was released in Japan on PlayStation 3. It was later released in North America in 2010. In 2018,
Sega released a remastered version of the game on PlayStation 4 in Japan. This version was also released worldwide in 2019. Additionally, the PC and Xbox One versions of the remastered game debuted in 2021.
Yakuza: Infinite Wealth, known as "The Like a Dragon" in Japan, is a new adventure role-playing game released in January 2024 for multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC via Windows and Steam. This game is a direct follow-up to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which was announced as the eighth mainline entry in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon franchise by
Sega in September 2022.
In Hawaii, a spinoff game called "Like a Dragon: Pirates in Hawaii" was released globally on February 21st for multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, and Steam. Goro Majima is featured as the main character, and the game takes place six months after "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth". The story revolves around Majima who arrives at a beach with no memory of his past, and how he eventually becomes the leader of a group of pirates.
During The Game Awards on December 12th,
Sega and their Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio unveiled a new game that they had been working on under the code name "Project Century". On June 6th, they announced that the title of this game would be Stranger Than Heaven.
