Shūta Morishima, Shugo Nakamura star as titular sea otter brothers
On Wednesday, MMDGP revealed that they were producing Anira to Kokora, a short anime featuring anthropomorphized sea otters. These one-minute anime shorts will make their debut on October 2 at 27:15 JST on the Kansai TV channel (which translates to October 3 at 3:15 a.m. JST). Shūta Morishima will voice Anira in the anime, while Shugo Nakamura will portray Kokora.

The anime centers on sea otter brothers Anira and Kokora, who live at a certain aquarium. Anira is the older brother who is cool, but also has a naive side. The younger brother Kokora is a passionate otter who adores his older brother.
The goal of this brief animation is to instill in viewers a fondness for sea otters. In Japan, sea otters were once popular in aquariums, but their captivity numbers have significantly reduced, leaving few chances for people to encounter them.
The production of the anime was planned by MMDGP. Imai Nosharu, who creates manga and Vtubers, designed the characters and comics. Suzuna Takamura wrote the scripts. Hiroshi Namiki directed the anime at Kachidoki Studio, which belongs to MMDGP. Tatooine Sound handled the sound production, Yū Saitō directed the sound, and Yūichirō Nakanishi was responsible for background music and sound effects.
In the anime, Shūta Morishima will voice Anira and Shugo Nakamura will voice Kokora. They will sing "Good Rakko," which is also known as "Good Luck" in English.
