Shogakukan is a Japanese publishing company that produces dictionaries, literature, comics, non-fiction, DVDs, and other media in Japan. They are known for founding Shueisha and Hakusensha, which are part of the Hitotsubashi Group, one of Japan's largest publishing groups. Shogakukan is headquartered in Tokyo's Hitotsubashi ward, near the Jimbocho book district, and has its other two companies located in the same ward.
