In 2045, the MACROSS 7 Long Range Emigration Fleet embarks on its journey towards the center of our galaxy. The headquarters for this fleet is located aboard the MACROSS class battleship. During their voyage, they encounter the Barauta species. In 2046, the narrative begins in a combat zone where air blading becomes the central focus of the story. Unlike other Macross series, this one does not emphasize space combat or mechas; instead, it explores the sport of air blading using the MACROSS universe as its context.
