In 1880 Japan, seventeen-year-old Daigo is renowned for his exceptional sword skills. Despite numerous attempts to challenge him, no one has managed to defeat him. However, on an unremarkable night without the moon, a mysterious stranger arrives in Daigo's village with information that haunts his family. The tale is so implausible that it is hard to believe and yet too compelling to doubt. Count Dracula cannot change who he is or what he desires, nor can he control how many souls he must consume to satisfy his eternal thirst. An entire nation stands at risk of being devoured by the count's bloodlust, with those closest to Daigo, particularly the enchanting Chizuru, in grave danger. It falls upon Daigo to protect his community from this nocturnal demon. However, he faces an adversary like never before - a vampire's speed, strength, and allure. Daigo has always been skilled in combat, but facing a vampire presents him with new challenges. He must use every ounce of his talent to outmaneuver the count and save those he loves. The fate of Japan rests on Daigo's shoulders, and he will stop at nothing to protect it from the clutches of Count Dracula.
