Momoko, a reserved young lady who spends most of her time immersed in romantic novels, yearns to experience love like the protagonists she admires. her dream appears to come true when she encounters oshima, the star athlete at her school. however, despite her newfound feelings for him, momoko struggles to draw closer to oshima. she turns to her beloved books for guidance and eventually contributes to reviving a traditional japanese cheering club. although they have only enough members to prevent its disbandment, their first performance is dismal, causing people to blame them for the baseball team's loss. to succeed in her quest for love, momoko must help her inexperienced cheer squad improve their skills and overcome their initial difficulties.
