Before school ends, a failed peeping incident leads Yuuichi Kanba to reconnect with his childhood friend Makio Fujiyama, who stands at 181 cm tall. Despite being considered unattractive by peers and passersby, Kanba develops feelings for her after seeing her undress. On impulse, he asks her out, and she agrees. As they navigate through school events and fireworks festivals, Kanba struggles to keep their relationship a secret due to Fujiyama's popularity. The anime series Fuijyama-san wa Shishunki follows the pair as they fumble their way through humorous situations while learning about young love and each other.
