For many years, terrifying creatures called "Kegare" have caused destruction in Japan. These creatures come from a parallel realm known as Magano. Those brave enough to fight against them are secretive exorcists who work tirelessly to eliminate all Kegare. Today, we meet two young exorcists: Rokuro Enmadou and Benio Adashino. While Rokuro is talented and powerful, a past tragedy caused him to resent exorcists and abandon his dream of becoming the strongest. In contrast, Benio is a beautiful and gifted exorcist who carries the hopes and dreams of everyone. Together, they are prophesied as the "Twin Star Exorcists," destined to give birth to the Miko, an exorcist who will defeat the Kegare and purify the world. However, these two teenagers must face hardships and trials before they can fulfill their destinies.

Sousei no Onmyouji has been published in English as Twin Star Exorcists by VIZ Media under the Shonen Jump imprint since July 7, 2015 and in Spanish by Norma Editorial since October 29, 2016.
