Inaba is a rural town in the same universe as Persona 3, where strange killings take place after heavy rainfall and fog. There are rumors about a midnight television channel called Mayonaka TV that allows viewers to see their "other half" when looking at the screen. Souji, Chie, and Yousuke discuss how they tried to watch this mysterious channel and witnessed a murder during the fog. Later, the protagonist discovers that his body can phase into the television set as a gateway to enter another world filled with shadows. After entering this new realm, Souji encounters Teddie. It appears that Mayonaka TV and the town's murders are connected, with the victims possibly being targets of the channel. The group decides to work together to solve these mysterious killings by exploring the hidden world of Mayonaka TV.
