In Victorian London during the 19th century, Lord Cain roams the city's darkened streets. Due to his father's sudden demise, he inherits the title of earl and assumes responsibility for the Hargreaves family, which has a history shrouded in darkness. Along with Riff, his loyal servant, and Mary Weather, Cain's 10-year-old half sister, they embark on a quest to unravel the enigmatic crimes that seem to dog their footsteps.
