Mikai Yui is a 19-year-old high school girl who has completed her third repeat of the final year. Despite being surrounded by murders, she remains excited to showcase her expertise and often stumbles over crime scenes. Her "assistant," Rinrin, is actually just a classmate who excels at solving murder mysteries. The first murder in their series occurs during a school excursion when a maid discovers a man stabbed to death in his hotel room.
