In 526 AD, people knew that witches existed and practiced magic, but they didn't know much about studying it. Our tale revolves around a half-human, half-beast mercenary who always dreamed of being human. One day, he met Zero, a witch who offered to help him realize his dream if he accompanied her on a quest to retrieve "The Book of Zero," a magical text stolen from her lair. The book contained valuable knowledge that could bring the world to its knees with ease. Despite his dislike for witches, the mercenary agreed to assist Zero in order to achieve his goal of becoming human. This is the story of a proud sorceress and a compassionate beast.
