In Fuyuki City, Japan, there's an ongoing conflict that few people are aware of. This city hosts a deadly war between seven powerful sorcerers known as "Masters" and their "Servants." The last Master standing will gain access to the Holy Grail, which grants a wish. Although not many individuals know when this war began or what the Holy Grail is, it's about to start again this year.
The protagonist of our story is Emiya Shirou, an adolescent who lost his parents in a fire and was later adopted by a sorcerer. Despite having no natural talent for sorcery, he has been training himself to become one. However, after the death of his adoptive father, he now finds himself as a skilled but knowledge-less sorcerer participating in this year's War of the Holy Grail. By chance, Shirou summons Saber, the strongest Servant among them all.
