Kazuki is a college student studying in Tokyo who visits her family during spring break. Initially, her parents are happy about her visit, but after several days, she doesn't return to Tokyo. Eventually, she informs them that she has left university without any specific goals or aspirations. This sets the stage for the story, which revolves around her being idle at home as a 'bonkura musume'.
