Five centuries have elapsed since humanity's extinction at the hands of enigmatic Beasts. Now, the surviving races dwell on floating islands high above the ground, away from the reach of all but the most agile creatures. However, Regul Aire, their new haven, harbors a concealed danger: only a select group of young girls known as Leprechauns possess the ancient weapons required to defend against invasions by these beasts. Suddenly, an unexpected individual enters this unstable and transient existence: Willem, a man who lost everything in his final battle five centuries ago, has been revived from a long slumber. Despite being unable to fight anymore, he becomes the surrogate father that the girls never had, supporting and nurturing them as they grapple with their own feelings of helplessness and loss. As Willem and the girls interact daily in an orphanage, they gradually come to comprehend what it means to be a family and what truly matters in life.
