You will wake up in the spring, 君は春に目を醒ます

Ito and Chiharu have been close friends for seven years, despite a seven-year gap between them. Although Ito harbors unrequited feelings for Chiharu, their friendship remains strong. In an unexpected twist of fate, Chiharu is diagnosed with a terminal illness and put into a coma in the hopes that a cure will be discovered while he sleeps. After seven years, Chiharu awakens to find Ito his age and his former classmate now serving as his homeroom teacher.
