The narrative revolves around soujiro okita, a nine-year-old boy who encounters an enigmatic individual near the river. following this encounter, he learns that his friend's new father is the head of a group planning to burn down the village in order to create chaos and steal gold. during a stroll, soujiro discovers this information about his friend's father. later, while rushing to warn the villagers, he meets the mysterious man again.
