Our protagonist is Opata, a ten-year-old boy who resembles Patalliro but has a different personality. He works part-time at an agency as a cleaner to pay off his father's debts. One day, his employer Okuma tells him about a new job opportunity - posing as the wife of an American tycoon visiting Japan whose real wife has gone missing. Despite being suspicious, Opata agrees and is successful in the mission. His old school friends are impressed and want to hire him for their own schemes. Okuma takes him to America where they get stranded. To raise money, Opata continues his female disguise and participates in various crazy schemes with Okuma's help. The humor comes from Okuma's surprising skills such as her contacts in the CIA, ability to catch and cook rabbits, and a mean leg for hitchhiking rides. Additionally, Opata's affinity for cross-dressing adds to the comedic element of the story.
