Kuzunoha is a fox who belongs to the vulpine faction in school for beastlings. although he gets along well with his kind and the feline faction, he is scared of the lupine faction because they still practice an ancient tradition called pelt reaping, where they skin their fellow beasts during ceremonies. while on an urgent errand in the forest, kuzunoha stumbles upon a hunt and must rely on his wolf classmate to help him escape danger because he is not as strong or skilled as he initially appears.
