In Orth, there exists a unique town that lies near an uncharted abyss known for its immense size and unexplored territories. Despite the risks associated with venturing too far down, brave individuals who dare to traverse these areas are celebrated as legends. Amongst this community resides Riko, daughter of one of the most renowned Cave Raiders who disappeared on a mission years ago. One day, while going about her life, she encounters an unusual robot named Regu that emerges from within the abyss. Riko interprets this as a message from her mother trapped at its depths and decides to descend with Regu to confront all the dangers lurking within.

Made in Abyss has been published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment since January 23, 2018. It has also been licensed in Spanish by Ivrea Argentina and Ivrea España
