The chapter is a one-on-one conversation between Griffith and God.It was not published in the Japanese volumes at Kentaro Miuras request, his reason being that he felt that the chapter gave away too much information too early in the story.

While Chapter 83 of Berserk, "Shinen no Kami (2)," was initially released in Issue 14 of the 1996 Young Animal magazine, it was omitted from the Volume 13 release of Berserk at the author's request (he felt that the chapter gave away too much information too early in the story), making the magazine issue a collector's item.
