In the year 0087 of the Universal Century, seven years have elapsed since the conclusion of the One Year War. To eradicate any remaining opposition, Earth Federation has established an elite military force known as Titans. However, these soldiers soon become rogue and commit heinous acts similar to those committed by Zeon during the war. As a result, citizens who are displeased with the government, former Zeon soldiers, and even members of the Earth Federal Forces unite to form the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG). With the impending threat of another conflict, an AEUG delegation arrives at Side 7 to examine the new Gundam Mk. II.
