Sato is a high school student who is having difficulty maintaining good grades. Although this is a concern for him, it is not the only issue he faces. His childhood friend and former classmate, Waseda Todome, wants to spend time with him. However, Todome has repeating first year classes and now shares classrooms with Sato. Despite being flirtatious and adorable, Todome lacks intellectual abilities and intends to persuade Sato to sabotage his own grades so she won't be alone at the bottom of the school rankings. However, Todome's poor planning has unintended consequences, revealing her true intentions towards Sato go beyond academics. Will Sato take note of these hints despite Todome's misleading cues?
