To safeguard the planet against monsters, magic users enter into agreements with one another using a mystical lamp called "Lamp of Torn Flames." As a new member of the Halves race, Corze Letta is seeking her partner for the Lamp, someone from the Genie species. However, Rau Laaran, the Genie she pairs up with, proves to be far more challenging than she anticipated.
