Xander Anaketos was a successful and wealthy man who was known for being charming and attractive. He had many options when it came to choosing a partner, but he decided on Clare, who was from a modest background. Despite their differences in social status, they enjoyed spending time together for a year before Xander ended their relationship abruptly. Four years later, Clare was living as a single mother working as a waitress to make ends meet. One day at her job at a high-class restaurant, she ran into Xander again.
