Prior to a tragic accident that claimed the lives of her parents, Kanami and her older brother enjoyed a harmonious relationship. However, after the incident, her brother's behavior changed drastically as he became increasingly hostile, distant, and abusive. Stricken with loneliness, Kanami breaks down in tears at a park. A kind stranger approaches her and offers to be her rental brother. With an inheritance from her parents, she agrees to rent him for a specified period. As she seeks solace through her rental relationship, Kanami strives to repair her fractured bond with the only family member remaining.
