After Seraph of the End: Catastrophe at Sixteen, Guren Ichinose has committed an unforgivable act-resurrecting his friends in defiance of the prohibition against human resurrection. As a result, humanity is on its knees and only demons and children remain alive. The few survivors are endangered by monstrous creatures and heartless vampires who treat humans like livestock. Faced with hopelessness, they unite in their quest to restore the world. Guren, tormented by his sin and unable to share it with others, embarks on a new journey through the wreckage of the world he has destroyed. Yet, is he human or demon? Is he savior or harbinger of death? Even he is uncertain about his true nature.
