Shadows House

Emilico is one of many "Living Dolls" in the Shadows House, where residents are completely black from head to toe and constantly emit soot that darkens the house. Each Shadow has a partnered Doll that resembles it closely. As a Living Doll, Emilico's primary responsibility is to keep the house clean and serve as her master Kate's face. In return, Kate treats Emilico with support and trust. The bond between Shadows and Dolls isn't fully understood, but they have always existed in this manner. Administrators monitor young pairs from higher levels of the mansion and evaluate their performance for an unknown reason.
