In this world, where diverse beings dwell, such as elves, beastmen, and fairies, there exist those who are disliked: mixed breeds. One example is Acht, a girl with recollections of a past existence on another realm. Due to her unique heritage, she faces rejection wherever she goes, unable to secure lodging at an inn or find employment opportunities. Her life presents numerous challenges, which she endeavors to surmount through the wisdom gleaned from her previous existence. However, when she does so, it attracts unwanted attention from individuals like a research-obsessed royal magician, a malevolent prince, and even a notorious pirate captain, who dub her "Sage" and relentlessly pursue her everywhere.

Monogusa na Kenja began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou on April 11, 2012 and completed with 47 web chapters on January 30, 2013. Ichijinsha released a revised and illustrated version of the first two arcs of the series from August 20, 2014 to October 20, 2015 under its Ichijinsha Bunko Iris label.
