In every 3000 years, humans (ninjinkai), demons (makai), and man-beasts (juujinkai) unite through the revival of the overfiend, a god among gods. the story revolves around amanojaku, a man-beast, who embarks on a journey to discover the true overfiend and safeguard the future of all three realms. however, his beliefs are challenged when he encounters various makai intent on destroying the overfiend and preventing the unification of the realms.
