Mikoto Yamada has recently relocated from her small town and is finding it challenging to make friends at Uchouten High School. Ren Nekozaki, the student council secretary, notices Mikoto sitting alone and decides to create a club specifically for her to socialize with others. They choose a shrine near the school as their meeting place. However, their club space is soon invaded by four girls who share similar interests but find it difficult to form a club due to Uchouten High School's club activity requirement. These girls establish their own club to allow each member to pursue their interests freely. They require a club room for their club to be official, prompting them to approach Mikoto and request sharing the shrine. Although Ren is hesitant due to concerns about interference with Mikoto's time, she eventually agrees. Despite their diverse interests, these girls develop a strong bond that proves unbreakable.

Ame demo Hare demo is a remake of Arata Iri's previous work, Todo no Tsumari no Uchouten.
