There is a narrow pathway located near Higashiyama in Kyoto that houses two boarding homes. This alley, known as "outcast alley," has only two occupants. One of these tenants is the daughter of the current landlord and she urges the other tenant to assist her in recruiting more residents, specifically individuals who may be considered outcasts.
