Despite being a penniless orphan living alone, Reiko Kujouin manages to attend Meisei Private Academy with the help of a full scholarship. On her first day at school, she is confronted by Yuria Sakurada who accuses her of flaunting wealth and status. However, this couldn't be further from the truth as Reiko has very little money and comes from a fallen noble family. Believing that Yuria may be suffering from delusions, Reiko chooses not to confront her with the truth. This marks the beginning of Reiko's high school journey where she takes each day in stride, despite being anything but rich or privileged.
