For the first time in thirteen years, Rosemary encounters her former classmate, Willis, and is taken aback by how much he has changed. In high school, she remembered him as an unpopular and unattractive student who excelled only in academics. Now, he's a distinguished professor at a renowned university, visiting the village to observe a passing comet. As they spend time together during his stay, Rosemary can't help but admire Willis's intellect and success. However, she also wonders if there is something more keeping him up at night than just the comet.
