In this country, at one time, vampires thrived in great numbers. However, their population declined as humans rose against them, leading to persecution. The last surviving vampire is named Mikhail, who is unique and enjoys the company of humans. He has spent an eternity living alone until he encountered a dying soldier named Johann during his travels. For 16 years, Mikhail and Johann journeyed across the world together. Now that Johann has grown up, Mikhail wants to arrange for him to marry, but Johann is independent-minded and makes his own decisions.
