Inori takafuji is a person who does not consider themselves as someone who actively seeks things out or takes charge of situations. instead, they prefer to relax and rest. however, being suddenly transported to another world has disrupted their usual routine. it can be difficult to remain calm when faced with a king demanding that you slay an enemy. despite this, the plot twist reveals that getting the hero treatment is not so bad after all. however, inori's peace is short-lived as they are summoned once again and given another superpower. this happens repeatedly, causing them to be transported to different locations. they become frustrated and hope that this will be their last time being summoned.

Meccha Shoukan sareta Ken began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou on April 29, 2016. The first official volume was published on October 10, 2019 by Mag Garden under the Mag Garden Novels label.The series has been published digitally in English as Oversummoned, Overpowered, and Over It! by J-Novel Club since September 2, 2022.
