Naoya Fukamachi is a university student with the unique ability to accurately detect lies. However, this talent has caused him to become isolated and friendless due to others' fear of being exposed for their dishonesty. Despite his initial reluctance, Akira Takatsuki, an intriguing folklore professor, becomes interested in Naoya's paper and pulls him into his research. As the common sense assistant, it is now my responsibility to help Akira interpret a variety of mysterious occurrences.
