Tadokoro is introverted and prefers spending time in class drawing rather than socializing with her peers. However, even when her classmates approach her, they tease her about her drawings and appearance. In contrast, Nikaido is popular among her friends due to her combination of beauty and intelligence. While everyone makes fun of Tadokoro, Nikaido admires Tadokoro's art and eventually falls in love with both the artist and her work. When Tadokoro offers to draw a portrait of Nikaido, Nikaido is thrilled as it may be her opportunity to get closer to the girl she has been infatuated with.

Tadokoro-san is a web manga released on the authors Twitter and pixiv accounts since November 22, 2018. Official serialization began in Comic Valkyrie on August 9, 2019.
