Ayu Shirakawa leaves home and is introduced to Yukari Ebiwara (Hikari Ebiwara) through her cousin Miyako. Ayu takes up part-time work as Yukari's caretaker. Although Yukari often relaxes by playing games or going on trips, Ayum enjoys her new daily routine. As they live together and become closer, Ayum develops new emotions.

Shimekiri Mae ni wa Yuri ga Hakadoru began as a web novel on Kakuyomu on October 31, 2019. SB Creative has released a revised and illustrated version of the series since December 12, 2020 under its GA Bunko label.
