Mifuyu is a high school student who comes from a family of book enthusiasts. She lives in a town where reading is highly valued, with her great-grandfather having founded Mikura Hall, a renowned library. Despite her dislike for books, she finds herself tasked with retrieving stolen books from the library by entering stories she detests. With assistance from Mashiro, she aims to restore her great-grandfather's collection and safeguard her community from a supernatural threat.

Kono Hon wo Nusumu Mono wa is an adaptation of a novel.The series has been published in English as Whoever Steals This Book by Yen Press since February 20, 2024.
