The story revolves around a young man named Yuya Yoshizumi who was struggling to pay off his parents' debt. His classmate, Kaede Hitotsuba, won the title of "cutest schoolgirl in Japan," and she came to his rescue by agreeing to take over his debt on one condition: he had to live with her. This unexpected turn of events caused Yuya's daily life to collapse. As they began their new living arrangement, Kaede would often suggest taking a bath together and asking Yuya to be her "hug pillow." Despite his initial reluctance, Yuya eventually grew fond of Kaede and the two developed a playful love comedy relationship.
