Akane Amou is a high school student who has been restricted from consuming various forms of media since childhood. Even mild romance dramas are too graphic for her to enjoy due to this limitation. Despite this unique trait, Akane is highly regarded by both her peers and teachers for her exceptional academic performance. One day, while walking through her classroom, Akane discovers Fuyumine watching a vulgar scene in the Film Research Club room. Fuyumine quickly explains that what was being played was simply a sensitive scene in an R15+ movie. Although skeptical, Akane decides to stay and watch the film with Fuyumine in order to clear up any doubts. As she becomes increasingly captivated by the world of movies, Akane decides to join the Film Research Club as an unofficial member in order to expand her knowledge and understanding of this newfound dimension of entertainment.
