In the early 20th century, technology advanced rapidly, allowing scientists to create complex magic systems known as Machinart. These were devices that used spells to animate objects and even give them personalities. Originally developed for military use, they have since become widespread globally. Akabane Raishin is currently studying at the Royal Academy with his companion Yaya, who is actually a puppet weapon controlled by him. Despite having exceptional combat skills and determination, Raishin's academic performance lags behind that of his classmates. To rise to the top of the class, he must compete against some of the most deadly opponents.
