In the past, over 100 million individuals experienced an unprecedented calamity known as a "spatial quake." since then, humanity has implemented measures to minimize harm from future disasters such as evacuation plans and prompt rebuilding of any architectural damage. currently, shidou itsuka lives with his sister kotori. despite warnings, he is caught in a spatial quake. miraculously surviving the blast, he encounters a mysterious girl who turns out to be a "spirit" - supernatural beings responsible for these quakes. he learns of an anti-spirit team, a military unit tasked with destroying spirits through brute force. shidou is then recruited by ratatoskr, an organization committed to reducing the threat posed by spirits peacefully. his sister commands this organization. as the new weapon of ratatoskr, shidou must neutralize the powers of these spirits by going on dates with them and sealing the deal with a passionate kiss.
